The second annual HUGS (Happy Ukulele Group Strummers) Naples Ukulele Festival will take place on Saturday, March 29, at the Norris Center in Naples. The festival includes a variety of events throughout the day, beginning at noon with a breakfast taco offering. Attendees can participate in workshops such as Jim Beloff’s advanced beginner and intermediate session, Amanda Boisen’s singing tips and tricks, and free beginner ukulele lessons open to the public from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A Gold Pass Dinner Buffet will be available at 4:30 p.m., followed by a VIP champagne reception for ticket holders at 5:30 p.m. The main concert, featuring Jim Beloff and the father-daughter duo The Barnkickers, will start at 7 p.m., with special appearances by the Mason Classical Academy String Ensemble and the HUGS group. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and proceeds from the festival will support veterans’ programs.
